Celebrities certainly have no problems losing their baby weight in a jiffy. However, in the real world, losing that lingering weight is quite challenging, especially if you had twins! Julia knows this struggle all too well. After giving birth to twins, she needed to find a way to keep up with her bouncing baby girls and, most importantly, shed over a whopping 100 pounds gained during her pregnancy.
After hearing many raves about Pilates, Julia decided to give it a shot and was quickly hooked! Not only did Pilates increase her endurance but she was able to regain her figure and lose more than 100 pounds! Now that’s truly inspiring!
In 2005, Julia had to undergo total knee replacement surgery. After this grueling procedure, she moved to the UK where she, once again, used Pilates as part of her rehabilitation. Her love for this exercise heightened when she witnessed the amazing effects it had on her recovery.
Upon her return to the U.S., Julia realized that she wanted to help people like herself turn their bodies into lean, mean fighting machines! She enrolled in a certification program and, in 2010, became certified through Pilates Method Alliance. She, furthermore, plans to continue her education by participating in Polestar Pilates’ bridging program.
Julia’s strenuous, but lively, result-driven workouts will unquestionably have you walking out of class saying, “I am woman (or man), hear me roar!”
